6th generation epoxy formula — two-component epoxy resin-based system delivers adhesion that cement grout cannot match, ideal for long-term stressed surfaces such as bathroom floors and terraces.
-
Waterproof: absorption ≤ 0.1 g (EN 12808-5) — moisture, mould and bacteria stand no chance; the grout remains fresh and hygienic for years without periodic impregnation.
-
Antimicrobial certified (ISO 22196) — active protection against bacterial growth and surface contamination, essential in kitchens, swimming pools and healthcare areas.
-
Working time > 90 minutes — ample open time for professionals and DIY enthusiasts to carefully finish large areas or complex patterns without time pressure.
-
HACCP/EC 852/2004 certified — suitable for direct contact with foodstuffs and drinking water; used in professional kitchens, catering establishments and swimming pools.
-
Temperature resistant from -20°C to +100°C — functions without problems on heated floors, in saunas, hammams and on unprotected outdoor terraces throughout all seasons.
Applications
Starlike® Pro Argilla Bruciata is designed for demanding environments where ordinary cement grout falls short. In the bathroom, it creates a waterproof, mould-free seam that lasts for decades — even on heated floors. On outdoor patios, it resists frost, UV radiation and rainwater without discolouring or crumbling. In swimming pools and hammams, the epoxy base offers maximum resistance to chlorine and water vapor. Professional kitchens and catering establishments benefit from the HACCP certification for hygienically responsible use. Also suitable for tiny houses, compact apartments and guest toilets where every millimeter makes a visible design statement.
Design & colour: Argilla Bruciata
Burnt clay — an intense, warm brown with character. The colour Argilla Bruciata (code 24) perfectly complements interior styles such as Wabi-Sabi, Desert Modern, Boho Luxe. Combine with dark rattan, burnt wood, amber glass, bronze for a cohesive interior picture that exudes both personality and sophistication. Desert spa, dark luxury bathroom, private wellness suite are pre-eminently the spaces where this colour shows its full potential. The quartz microspheres in the grout give the colour a subtle depth that cannot be achieved with standard cement grout — the result is a finish that feels like a conscious design choice, not an afterthought.
Technical superiority
Where traditional cement grout remains porous and darkens, fades or crumbles over time, Starlike® Pro forms a closed, non-porous matrix after curing. The abrasion resistance of ≤ 250 mm³ (EN 12808-2) means that the grout can withstand intensive foot traffic, hard-soled shoes and industrial cleaning machines. Shrinkage is limited to ≤ 1.5 mm/m (EN 12808-4), making cracks and loose joints a thing of the past. The double certification as RG (EN 13888) and R2T (EN 12004) makes this product applicable as both grout and thin-bed adhesive, making it project-flexible for tiles, mosaics and natural stone.
Tips for the best result
-
Preparation is everything: ensure the tile surface is completely dry, dust-free and grease-free before you start. Use a pH-neutral cleaner and allow to dry for at least 24 hours after removing any residue.
-
Correct mixing ratio: mix components A and B only in the supplied ratio and use an electric mixer at low speed (max. 300 rpm) for a homogeneous mass without air bubbles.
-
Joint size 1–20 mm: Starlike® Pro is optimized for joint widths in this range. Check before starting whether your tile pattern and joint depth fall within this specification.
-
Clean quickly and thoroughly: remove excess grout within 30–45 minutes after application with a damp sponge and clean water. After full curing (24–48 hours), removal is significantly more difficult.
-
Underfloor heating: do not restart the heated floor until at least 48 hours after grouting. Then gradually increase the temperature to minimize thermal stresses in the joint surface.

Frequently asked questions
Is Starlike® Pro Argilla Bruciata suitable for use on the floor?
Yes. The abrasion resistance of ≤ 250 mm³ (EN 12808-2) and the shrinkage of ≤ 1.5 mm/m (EN 12808-4) make this product excellently suitable for floor applications, including high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens and commercial environments.
Can I use this grout in combination with underfloor heating?
Absolutely. Starlike® Pro is temperature resistant up to +100°C and remains stable during the thermal cycles that a heated floor undergoes. Wait at least 48 hours after grouting before switching the heating back on.
How do I maintain a grout in the colour Argilla Bruciata?
Daily maintenance with a damp cloth or a pH-neutral cleaner is sufficient. Because the epoxy bond is non-porous, dirt does not penetrate the grout — periodic impregnation as with cement grout is not necessary.
Can Starlike® Pro also be used outdoors?
Yes. The UV resistance and thermal shock resistance from -20°C to +100°C make the product suitable for terraces, facade cladding and other outdoor applications in the Benelux climate.
What is the difference between Starlike® Pro and ordinary cement grout?
Cement grout is porous and susceptible to mould, stains and discolouration. Starlike® Pro, based on epoxy, forms a closed, non-porous matrix after curing that limits water absorption to ≤ 0.1 g and is chemically resistant according to class RG (EN 12808-3). The initial investment is higher, but the absence of periodic maintenance, re-grouting or impregnation makes it the more cost-effective choice in the long term.
