Professional charcoal-level grilling — with gas
The Landmann Triton MaxX PTS 4.1 is a full-fledged gas barbecue for those who combine high performance with ease of use. With four adjustable stainless steel main burners and an infrared side burner in the MaxX Zone, you can achieve grilling temperatures of up to 800°C — ideal for perfectly searing steaks, resulting in juicy interiors. The patented PTS (Power Thermal Spreading) system ensures even heat distribution without cold spots, so that every product — from entrecôte to vegetables — cooks uniformly.
Key Benefits
-
PTS System – Landmann's proprietary heat distribution technology eliminates cold spots and ensures consistent, even temperature distribution across the entire grilling surface.
-
Infrared MaxX Zone (3.7 kW) – The side burner reaches up to 800°C and is specially designed for rapidly searing meat; pores close instantly, retaining moisture.
-
Four Adjustable Stainless Steel Main Burners – Each individually adjustable from min to max, with a total power output of 15.7 kW and full control over direct and indirect grilling zones.
-
Enamelled Cast Iron Grilling Grate – Excellent heat accumulation and release, easy to clean and resistant to intensive daily use.
-
Double-Walled Lid with Thermometer – Stable chamber temperature during indirect grilling, directly readable via the integrated lid thermometer.
-
LED-Illuminated Control Knobs – Visible setting for use in darkness or evening; each burner has its own independent ignition and control system.
-
Base Cabinet with Doors and 4 Lockable Wheels – Ample storage space including room for the gas bottle, easily movable and securely lockable in place.
Applications
The Triton MaxX PTS 4.1 is designed for versatile outdoor use: direct high-temperature grilling for steaks, hamburgers, and sausages, indirect grilling with the lid closed for spare ribs, pulled pork, or whole poultry, and separate preparation of sauces and side dishes on the infrared side zone. The large grilling surface provides space for multiple people at once, making the unit suitable for both daily home use and larger barbecue evenings.
Material and Maintenance
The frame and burners are made of stainless steel, the grill grates of enamelled cast iron for optimal heat accumulation. After use, the easiest way to clean the grates is while they are still lukewarm: first use a grill brush for coarse dirt, then burn out on maximum setting for 30 minutes, and after cooling, rub with vegetable oil for maintenance. The grease collection system should be emptied after each use. Stainless steel exterior surfaces should be cleaned with a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner; rinsing with clean water and wiping dry prevents stains, especially in salty or humid environments.
Practical tips
- Always perform a burn-in procedure on first use: close the lid, set all burners to maximum, and let the barbecue heat up for at least 20 minutes to remove production residues.
- After each gas bottle connection, perform a leak test with leak detection spray — never check with an open flame.
- Use only propane or butane gas bottles in accordance with national regulations; the supplied pressure regulator complies with EN 16129 and is CE-certified.
- During use, maintain at least 2 m of clear space above and 1 m on the sides from combustible materials; at least 0.6 m distance from walls or low-flammability partitions.
- Store the barbecue covered in a dry outdoor location; disconnect the gas bottle for long-term storage and keep it upright in a well-ventilated area.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I also use the side burner as a regular cooking zone?
Yes. The infrared MaxX Zone has an adjustable grilling grate at two heights: the lower position is ideal for quick searing, the upper position offers more distance to the burner for gently preparing sauces, side dishes, or poultry.
What is the PTS system and why is it relevant?
PTS stands for Power Thermal Spreading — a heat distribution technology from Landmann where the position of the burners and the design of the burner covers work together for even heat distribution. This prevents cold spots or hotspots, which significantly improves grilling results for both direct and indirect grilling.
What type of gas do I need and will the supplied regulator fit my bottle?
The barbecue operates on propane (G31) or butane (G30) and corresponding mixtures. The supplied pressure regulator is CE-certified and complies with EN 16129; in some countries, no regulator or hose is supplied — please check the country specification. If in doubt, consult your local gas supplier for the correct bottle connection.
